Small Business Saturday

Small businesses are the life of our communities and neighbourhoods. They provide employment and offer us convenience. Do you know a local or neighbourhood business that could use and should have more traffic than it currently has? Small Business Saturday is all about that.

Help a small businesses make a big impact!

The success of small businesses depend on the support of their communities and neighbourhoods. How can you show support to small business owners?

For starters, buy from them. Also, get your network to buy from them.

Secondly, nominate them down below.

Tell us about a small business that could use a boost. Perhaps the reason you love them is for their great service, or the awesome products and services that they have and give, or the positive influence that they have on the community around them... Whatever the reason, let us know and we'll help them put the word out.

On the 28th of November 2020, we'll randomly select one of the nominated business and offer them marketing support for a whole month!

  • What is the goal of the Small Business Saturday Program?
Small Business Saturday is all about helping small brick and mortar shops or businesses make a big impact. Customers should nominate their favourite small business to win marketing support from us so that they increase their foot and online traffic.
  • When is Small Business Saturday?
    30th November 2019
  • What kind of support would Qallann give?
We'd offer the winning business an integrated marketing strategy with hacks, tips and tricks to help them grow their business on a budget.
  • Will the business have to pay anything?
We will offer a free integrated marketing strategy. Should the business require a service that would require payment to external parties, for example a web hosting, then they would have to meet the cost of that. Qallann Marketing Agency will not incur any costs on behalf of the winning business.
  • What are the requirements for the eligible partners?
The eligible partner company needs to be a 51% Kenyan-run business and based in Nairobi. Aside from that, they need to be willing to send us certified copies (stamped with their official business stamp) of their certificate of incorporation as well as their CR12. We would also want to see a statement of their capabilities (services that they provide) as well as list of references or companies they have worked with in the past.
  • Who can participate on behalf of the company?
We invite nominations from people with favourite small businesses. It would be better if you spoke to the business owner and let them know that you have nominated them. We want to work with people who are willing to work with us!
  • How many times can you submit an entry?
You should only make one entry per business. Submitting entries more than once will not increase the chances of your favourite business winning.
  • When will you hear back from us?
We will get in touch with the winning business within a month (or less) of the selection.
